GROUP EXHIBITION
“…I will push at anything that stands out in the dark, I will try to strip interiors of any useless decoration. I don’t want all homes to be like this, but it would be good if there was at least one such home, where, as a test, we could turn out the lights, and see, at last, what it would be like without them” (Tanizaki).
The – functional – lights of villa Petridis, the new municipal space that has been added to the city’s building stock, are turned out and there is only half-light and shadows spilling out from its rooms: through visual works, light rises in many different ways and it magically highlights a monument that comes from the past, in a part of the city that has changed greatly since then. Exhibition participants include A. Argyroiliopoulou, E. Mahéo, F. Boudouroglou, M. Parianou, V. Roumeliotis, and others, is part of a broader programme of illuminating public spaces throughout the urban web included in the 49th Dimitria Festival.
