ELENA PEGA
Woman leaves behind her husband, friends and career. A forbidden passion has infuriated her. It has turned her into a she-wolf. There is savagery in happiness. The heroine claims her place in the world. She could be a modern day Nora, she could be Beauty from the fairy tale. Yet, she is both Beauty and the Beast.
Elena Pega has penned a modern allegory on culture and savagery. The work was presented in May 2014 in the “Écrire et mettre en scène aujourd'hui” Festival in Caen, directed by Elli Papakonstantinou, performed by a cast of French actors. In its Greek version, Theodora Tzimou plays the Woman.
