CINEMA - VIDEO
An exhibition including video and audiovisual installations, specially commissioned for the 50th Dimitria by young and aspiring artists. Lena Athanasopoulou, Babis Alexiadis, Konstantinos Iordanou and Orestis Mavroudis capture invisible views of Thessaloniki through short art videos and audiovisual installations. Taking into consideration the festival aspect of Dimitria, the visual arts are replaced by assignment of new audiovisual productions, exclusively for Dimitria. The institution’s ambition is that new productions, those that enrich the cultural environment and bring Thessaloniki to the forefront of contemporary art, will be further expanded.
