A wonderful idea that will appeal to all fans of Jim Jarmusch’s brand of film making, especially to those who fondly recall “Night on Earth”.
Roadtrip is a show that transforms a simple car into a moving stage. The play takes place inside four cars with four passengers on the same route for four different stories in an actual road trip on the city streets.
The audience lives the quartet of stories for twelve minutes each, experiencing two different age groups of two women and two men, as they intertwine through the traffic lanes, through the streets, past the stop signs and the traffic lights as life journeys unfold.
This is a performance that connects the audience with the actors, making them both part of a communal experience that asks at every turn of the wheel “where are we going?” as if meaning to say “what does the future hold?”
